Silence Wind, Invisible waves is an occupied boundary with chaotic influence beyond jurisdiction, a country proprietary. Ruj Greigarn introduces equality in terms of recognition and sensation through violence in Thailand, where robust situations constantly fluctuate, with the collective feeling among Thai citizens. Invisible pressure is surrounded by memories that manifested within books, short stories, and fiction as if it was naturally blended into the movement of the people. Every infiltrated molecule flows upwards, stirring up, crunching and piled up to a single realm. The lines have drawn up, the colour flicked down, scraped, dragged back and forth, pressed on the weight….heavy in a chest. These elements were inspired by scratches that symbolised inner pressure and restraint and a counteraction that questioned and prepared to demolish the cult of personality and, most importantly, the worship of demigods in Thailand.
In 2021, Ruj began to observe and collect violent incidents and execute experimental paintings to learn more about criticism and new possibilities. Focusing on his political standpoint, Ruj offers an invisible structure within this series of works. Depicts as boundaries/area/territory with power structure float freely beyond citizens, each body that could not move, choose or leave. In such a way, Ruj enhanced his practice by expanding into prints, photography and installation.
The study of various communication tactics may break the beyond-strict boundaries for people to breathe freedom that we "strongly believe" that it exists. Therefore, his exhibition is based on stories and experiences from the artist's perspective. Ruj, a part of the people and a human being with the right and the voice of 1, who equals everyone else, stands up and narrates us through the exhibition. In a country where people's voice is softer than the prevailing yet invisible storm of power remains.
Silence Wind, Invisible Waves คือ พื้นที่ที่ถูกยึดครองด้วยความโกลาหล อิทธิพล ความเป็นเจ้าของ ที่รุจน์ ไกรกาญจน์ นำเสนอความเสมอภาคทางการรับรู้และความรู้สึก ด้วยการสำรวจความรุนแรงท่ามกลางสภาวการณ์ในสังคม การเมือง และเศรษฐกิจที่เปลี่ยนไป รวมไปถึงมวลอารมณ์ของประชาชน การเคลื่อนไหวของอำนาจที่มองไม่เห็น ห้อมล้อมไปด้วยความทรงจำอันแจ่มชัด จับต้องได้อย่างเป็นหลักฐาน ทั้งในบทความ หนังสือ เรื่องสั้น หรือวรรณกรรม อันถูกสอดแทรกเสมือนอยู่ในความเคลื่อนไหวของประชาชน ทุกอณูที่แทรกซึมนั้นไหลวนขึ้นไปรวมศูนย์อำนาจในอาณาบริเวณเดียว ผ่านเส้นถูกขีดขึ้น สีที่ตวัดลง ปาด ลากถูกไปมา กดทับ น้ำหนัก…หนักหน่วง องค์ประกอบเหล่านี้ได้เเรงบันดาลใจจากการขูดขีดความอัดอั้นในจิตใจเบื้องลึก รวมถึงสัญญะบางอย่างที่เป็นการตอบโต้ ตั้งคำถาม เเละ รื้อถอน ต่อลัทธิบูชาบุคคล รวมถึงความเชื่อในความเป็นสมมติเทพของบุคคลในประเทศไทย
ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2564-2565 รุจน์เริ่มต้นการสำรวจและบันทึกความรุนแรงผ่านผลงานจิตรกรรมเชิงทดลอง จากข้อมูลต่าง ๆ เพื่อทำความเข้าใจเหตุการณ์และความเป็นไปได้ใหม่ของการวิพากษ์วิจารณ์ รวมทั้งจุดยืนในการเเสดงออกทางการเมือง รุจน์นำเสนอโครงสร้าง หรือ structure ล่องหน ณ ที่นี้ ปรากฏเป็นอาณาเขตที่อิทธิพลไหลย้อนไปมา แต่ผู้อยู่อาศัยในพื้นที่เหล่านั้น คือ คน/ร่าง ที่ถูกควบคุมและบงการโดย ไม่อาจเคลื่อนขยับร่างกายได้ จนแตกแขนงออกมาเป็นการสร้างงานรูปแบบอื่น ๆ ได้แก่ ภาพพิมพ์ ภาพถ่าย และศิลปะจัดวาง การศึกษากลวิธีการสื่อสารที่หลากหลายนี้ อาจช่วยทลายเขตแดนจากผู้คนสู่เสรีภาพที่ “เชื่ออย่างยิ่งว่า” มีอยู่จริง นิทรรศการนี้จึงประกอบสร้างจากเรื่องเล่าและประสบการณ์ผ่านมุมมองของศิลปิน ในฐานะประชาชนและมนุษย์ ที่มีสิทธิและเสียงเป็น 1 เหมือนทุก ๆ คน ในพื้นที่ที่เสียงของประชาชนคนหนึ่งเปล่งออกมาเบากว่าลมที่พัดผ่านเสียอีก
